Terms of use

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Current status: The Enable Banking connection is not active. These terms describe the intended personal use of SecondBrain if that connection is later approved and enabled.

Personal use

SecondBrain is a private, non-commercial personal-finance project intended for use by its owner to review their own financial information. It is not offered as a service to other users.

Read-only banking access

If enabled, the banking integration is intended to use account-information services in read-only mode. It is not intended to initiate payments, transfers, trades or investments, or to make changes to a bank account. Access depends on the selected bank, Enable Banking, the owner's authorization and service availability.

Summaries and decisions

SecondBrain may organize transactions and prepare summaries for personal record-keeping. Information may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and the owner should verify important details with the bank and make their own decisions.

Third-party services

Bank access may depend on the selected bank and Enable Banking. If the owner requests analysis through Claude, information included in that request may be processed by Anthropic under the terms and privacy practices applicable to Claude. Each third-party service is subject to its own terms and availability.

Availability and responsibility

The project is provided for personal convenience and may be interrupted or contain errors. The owner remains responsible for securing their device and accounts, reviewing records and acting on information. Nothing on this page claims that a bank connection is currently active.

Contact and changes

For questions about these terms, use the contact options on the SimeDev42 GitHub profile. These terms should be updated if the application's features or data flows change.
