Who is responsible

SecondBrain is a private, non-commercial personal project operated by the account holder associated with the SimeDev42 GitHub profile. It is intended for that person's use, not as a service for other users. For privacy questions, use the contact options on that profile.

Information and purpose

With the account holder's authorization, the planned integration may retrieve account details, balances and transaction information such as dates, amounts, currencies and descriptions through account-information services. The purpose is to organize the owner's spending and prepare personal budgets and summaries. The integration is intended to be read-only: it will not initiate payments, transfers or investments, or change bank accounts.

Sources and providers

Banking information would come from the selected bank through Enable Banking. If the owner asks Claude to analyze financial information, information included in that request may be processed by Anthropic under the terms and privacy practices applicable to Claude. The public policy pages are hosted with GitHub Pages; GitHub may process technical information associated with visits under its own policies. This site does not use advertising or analytics scripts.

Storage and retention

The planned design is to store imported records in the owner's private SecondBrain files on their Mac and retain them until the owner deletes them. Device backups, if enabled, may retain copies according to the owner's backup settings. No independent encryption, backup or deletion guarantee is claimed here; the actual implementation and controls should be checked before the bank connection is activated.

Consent, deletion and rights

The owner can stop future bank access by revoking the relevant authorization with the bank or provider. The owner can delete local SecondBrain records from the device, subject to any backups. Questions about information held by a bank, Enable Banking or Anthropic should be directed to the relevant provider.
